About SellerGuardrails

SellerGuardrails is a free, independent reference site that helps non-EU and EU online sellers see exactly which EU compliance obligations apply to their products — GPSR responsible person, EPREL energy labels, CE marking, WEEE/battery/packaging EPR, and the rest of the 2024-2026 wave — before a marketplace delists them.

Who publishes this site

SellerGuardrails is published and maintained by José Manuel Volante González, an independent solo publisher (Tax ID/NIF 49108819R, C/ Zafra 5, 21310 La Zarza, Huelva, Spain) who builds and operates a portfolio of free, single-purpose consumer and seller web tools. Contact: microtools.contact@gmail.com. Full provider identification is in the legal notice.

There is no company behind the site, no sales team, and no login. The tools are free to use; if paid add-ons (such as downloadable reports) are offered in the future, they will be clearly labelled and will never change the answers the free tools give.

The SellerGuardrails family

This hub is the front door to a family of more than thirty single-purpose decision tools, all run by the same publisher on the same data-verification rules — each one answers one compliance question with sourced inputs. A few examples:

Independence

SellerGuardrails is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the European Commission, any EU institution or national market-surveillance authority, or any marketplace (Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shopify, Bol, Cdiscount, Otto, Allegro or others). Official names are used to describe what the tools check, nothing more.

How it is built

The code for this hub and for every tool on it is written by one person working with AI coding assistants — that is why there are dozens of single-purpose tools rather than three. The regulatory data is not produced that way: every dated value is read by a human out of the primary source that is linked beside it, and pinned into a versioned dataset that automated tests hold to its citation. Every figure on this site is meant to be falsifiable in one click: open the source link next to it and check whether it says what the page says.
